Had this knife for over two months and its great. It is super smooth and comes very sharp out of the box. If you ever had a Victorinox knife I would say similar quality. its not a 120.00 dollar knife, with a polished edge. The scales are very smooth they might be Carbon Fiber lined but either way they are very solid and light.(if you take the scales apart you can see the CF inside). The lock is rock solid with NO side to side movement and super smooth.

This is my favorite knife out of the 15 I’ve recently purchased. The action on this model is amazing! Flys open and falls shut so smoothly it almost doesn’t seem real. Idk if I just got a good specimen or what, but everything is perfect. Centering is on point, tension on the lock is ideal, and the all around fit and finish was what I would expect out of a knife that would cost 2 to 3 times what I paid. The CF scales may be G10 laminate, but I really don’t care. They are beautiful… And not slick or hard to grip. I Highly Recommend This Model! It is by far my favorite Ganzo thus far. & I have quite a few Ganzo/Firebird knives. Its just perfect.

This is a very good knife. I own many knives from different companies and several Ganzos. They really hit it out of the park on this model. I opted for the CF because I wasn’t crazy about the reg g-10 handles with all the holes. Glad I did. It’s a sexy one.

I’m giving five stars because of great it is for the value. There are clearly better knives out there, but they will cost more too. At around 20, I can’t think of anything even close to as good as this knife. The ball bearings give this an extremely smooth action. They’ve improved the g-lock (axis) so it’s not as tough to use. The blade shape is great and came sharp. Really nothing negative I can think of. Great value folder.

Handle
The handle of the Firebird FB7631 knife, like most other knives of this manufacturer, consists of strong metal liners and a pair of clasps from the G10. For today, the presented knife is available in black, green and orange colors. This knife model is also available with a carbine handle (marking: FB7631-CF).

The holes are through and enter not only part of the design, but also allow to reduce the overall weight and make the knife more balanced in terms of ergonomics.

To one side of the handle is fastened a metal clip. When fixing the knife on the pocket, a small part of it will still “look out”, however, it is guaranteed not to drop out when moving.

The blade is fixed by Axis-lock.
As it was said earlier, the blade is fixed by Axis-lock. In the model Firebird FB7621, it is easy to control even one hand, however, it is almost impossible to open the knife accidentally. By its strength it can be compared with Liner-lock or a similar mechanism. But, like any other pin mechanism, the applied lock is susceptible to contamination. On the other hand, this model is positioned by the manufacturer as a universal EDC-knife (for everyday wearing).

The key advantage of the Axis-lock is the ability to control both the right and left hand.
